The Story behind BEST

In 1979, nearly two decades and six children later, they decided it was time to start their own repro company.  So they mortgaged their home to pay for two blueprint machines and BEST Photo Drafting was born. With a vision to provide clients with professional quality printing services quickly, at a competitive price, faster & better than anybody else could, they quickly established BEST as the leading Reprographer in all of Chicagoland.

 

BEST was the only printer in the region to utilize automatic blueprint machines, eliminating bottlenecks and inconsistencies in the printing process.  This allowed us to deliver blueprint orders in a fraction of the time anyone else could and quickly established BEST as the leading provider of print and imaging services for the most recognizable AEC companies in the region.

 

Now, 45 years later, having changed the company name to BEST Imaging Solutions to more accurately reflect the current technology and services, BEST's 2nd generation of leadership continues to guide the company forward employing the same vision and principles with Integrity, Honesty and Passion. Today, BEST offers the most expansive spectrum of reprographic services available from any one company  in the Midwest.

 

Our business has persevered through continual changes in technology that have completely altered what and how technical documents and graphics are printed. We have endured six recessions, The Pandemic and The "Chicago Loop Flood of 1992".

 

Amongst what seems like an endless supply of loosing seasons, we have celebrated alongside our clients, with six NBA, three NHL, one Super Bowl and two World Series titles.  We have supported the evolution of one of the most iconic skylines in the world and decorated commercial, institutional, public and corporate spaces with art, branding and messaging for the benefit of all.

 

Through and through, we have not only survived, but we have thrived alongside our clients who made our existence possible and for which we are truly humbled and grateful.
