The proper use of color can turn a ho-hum presentation into a message that shines.

At the same time, though, it is important to understand that the improper use of color -color for the sake of color- can be more damaging than having no color at all. We can help you determine how to make the best use of color in your project.

Our staff is skilled in the arts of Pantone® color matching, color correction, and all the stuff that means the difference between a natural life-like print and the alien sheen of a Turner colorized movie.

Black and white printing is the cornerstone of the reprographics industry, as well as the "meat and potatoes" of business communications. The stack of flyers announcing the company picnic. Copies of the quarterly report for the staff meeting. The book of specifications accompanying a roll of blueprints. These days, even the roll of blueprints may be printed black and white.

Gone are the days of shuttling originals back and forth as extra copies are needed. Gone too are the stores of additional sets kept "just in case we need more." At Best Photo, we can scan your originals and store the images on file. This allows us to generate additional sets of prints as your needs dictate. (We like to call this "printing on demand.")

Our Black & White services are divided into two catagories:

• Small Format is everything up to and including 11x17.
• Large Format is everything larger than 11x17.

• From virtually any translucent original, we can reproduce your prints onto a full spectrum of diazo products and media.

At Best Photo Drafting, we use the Océ 9800 printing system to produce plots. Océ is a leading manufacturer of large-scale production-speed printing equipment. The 9800 uses Copy Press™ technology, developed by Océ, that includes improvements such as a monocomponent toner system and a low temperature fuser system. That's great for us, you say, but what does it do for you? Plenty, actually.

SPEED

• 8 E-size plots per minute
• 14 D-size plots per minute

• Automate file preparation and transfer using FREE ReproDesk software (Learn More) This will save you a lot of time.

QUALITY

• Low Temperature Fuser System - Traditional printers use heat and oil to melt toner onto the paper. The 9800 uses a cold oil-free system that presses the toner into the paper fibers. The result is a higher-quality print that lasts longer.
• Surface-To-Surface Toner Transfer - Toner is transferred directly to the paper. Traditional equipment passes the toner to a photoreceptor that then transfers the toner to the paper, causing toner to "float" within the machine (which causes spots on the prints and soiling of machine parts).
• Other innovations include a monocomponent toner system, a touch-free photoreceptor, and a straight-line paper path. All of which means that you get better prints because Océ engineers are nerds who spend all their time thinking about things like toner.

EFFICIENCY

• When you use ReproDesk to prepare your files, our first-print accuracy nears 100%, which means we almost allways get the job right on the first try.
• Thanks to the 9800's technological innovations, we almost never have to reprint jobs due to spots or blurring.
• What all this means is that our waste is reduced, which allows us to keep your cost down while also providing the fastest possible job turnaround.

PEOPLE

• Even the fastest car won't win the race without the right person behind the wheel. It takes the right mix of technical know-how, persistance, and natural ability to guide a machine to the checkered flag. The same goes for a plotting job. We have an experienced staff to answer any questions you may have, and to guide your job to the finish line (so to speak).
• Whether you need a couple plots for a class, or fifty sets of thirty-five to go out for bid, we've got the crew to get the job right, so you can worry about more important things.

We can print full-color plots up to 52" wide by any reasonable length. There are a couple of important things that you must do when ordering a color plot.

• Create a plot file using the HP750C-Plus driver.
• All pens must be assigned a weight and a color BEFORE creating the plot file.

Okay, we've helped you create the perfect reproduction of all your meeting materials. The full color prints of your PowerPoint™ slides. The thirty page report with color photos and an 11" x 17" insert. Several four-by-six posters featuring your smiling mug. A few Three-by-five black and white signs directing people to the proper conference room. Another job well done, right?

Not quite yet. Our finishing services can put the crowning touch on your efforts. It is at this point that we make the transformation from mere prints to a presentation.
